Silence—the fabled man of fear.
Experienced is the solider known simply as Zero.
Around the fire, lies the defiant camper.
Of these wars, the poet who just wants to be a buccaneer.
Ferocious is the Cajun, through battle he remains a hero.
Together with our will and our taunting banter,
Hence we respond to the call of duty—on our own,
Into the fog of war.
Every week’s end among Friday’s looming night renew.
Vehement in our resolve as we battle the unknown,
Eerie is our inconsistency, as we test fate’s door.
Simply spoken, the world has seen better, but they will have to make do.
