Authors’ Note:
Hey Guys!
As we get into the new year, I wanted to let everyone know that I have two short stories planned for the blog sometime down the pipeline:
One is “Chapter 4” of the Sprint and Blackthorn series, while the other will be more of a ‘promotional’ story that directly ties into my upcoming book!
Anyway, I wanted to give my thoughts on the New York Giants!
Until then,

…
They did it. John Mara, Steve Tisch, and Joe Schoen did it!
It’s only been a day or so since Paul Shwartz broke the news that former Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh was named Head Coach of the New York Giants, and I still can’t believe it.
When Brian Daboll was fired, I was hoping we could hire someone like Mike McCarthy or Kevin Stefanski (granted, he was still employed with the Browns back then) to fill the void and give Jaxson Dart a coach who could help him thrive. Never in a million years did I think Baltimore would fire Harbaugh, nor did I think we’d have the opportunity to get him on a plane to Jersey and hire him as our next Head Coach.
I can only sit here for now and speculate on who John gets to fill out his staff. Names like Todd Monken and Jim Leonhard have already been floated, but I am ecstatic to find out when they’re announced! Coach Harbaugh, if I could make one request, though:
Please retain Carmen Bricillo. Our Offensive Line was one of the few bright spots in a season plagued by injuries and frustrating Defensive play.
It’s been a rough, rough half-decade for Giants fans. The 2022 NFL Season was a mirage, and it feels like we’ve only been rooting for Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning to get enshrined in the Hall of Fame. (Some day. Maybe not this year, but soon enough!) That all changed last year with Abdul Carter, Cam Skattebo, and Jaxson Dart. Those three, Dart in particular, helped turn the 2025 NFL Season into a launch pad. And with John Harbaugh at the helm, who knows what this team will be capable of for years to come!
It will be an uphill battle against Philadelphia. I suspect Washington, and Jayden Daniels, will rebound next year. And Dallas…I guess it depends on whether Jerry wants to trade Dak for some potential Pro Bowlers. But, for me, in the immediate aftermath of the 2025 Regular Season, hope springs eternal.
